Remote File Access
With Remote File Access, you'll enjoy the convenience of accessing your files from any computer with Internet access
-- a valuable feature that separates us from other backup services.
Advantages of Remote File Access
- Access important files (proposals, price sheets, etc.) while working at home, on the road or at
a client's office.
- Increase your efficiency, save time and money.
- Easily and securely transfer files too large to email or copy to disk from one computer to another.
- Securely share files with other users. Simply create a password (you can easily change it at any time) for others to use
instead of your encryption key and they will have immediately access to your backed up data.
- No additional hardware or software needed -- just a Java-enabled browser and an Internet connection.
- Included in all of our offsite data backup plans.
- You can also disable this service at any time. Under the Options menu, click Security, then uncheck "Allow files to be
retrieved from a Web browser".
How Remote File Access Works
- From any other computer with Internet access, visit our Home Page and click the Remote
Web Access button. (If you don't already have Java installed, click the
Get Java » link below the
graphic.)
- On the secure login page, enter your account number
and encryption key or password.
- Select files to download.
- Click the "Prepare Selected Files for Download" button. Click the Download Files tab.
- Right-click each file and save it on your computer.
