Menus Instructions


1) Home Screen

  1. When you start PC Data Backups you will see this screen. This screen includes information such as
    1. The client's name, company and account number;
    2. A backup warning message (if warranted);
    3. Summary of backup activity;
    4. A customized link for making payment, upgrading or finding support information;
    5. Buttons to "Backup Now" (initiates backup transmission) or "Retrieve Files" (goes to Retreive View).

2) Operations Menu

  1. This menu allows you to backup now, retrieve now, heal now, find a file, or exit PC Data Backups.

3) Find File menu item

  1. This menu item helps you find a file on your hard disk.
  2. Type the file name and click Find Prev to search upward or Find Next to search downward.
  3. When you are finished searching, click the Close button to close the window.

4) Go Menu

  1. This menu switches between options on the Home, Backup View, Restore View, Heal Wizard and Log screens. Clicking one of the tabs at the top of the screen and selecting an option in the left pane will do the same thing.

5) Options Menu

  1. Use this menu to access program preferences and settings. See Options and Preferences instructions.

6) Help Menu

  1. This menu provides Windows help.

7) Help Overview

  1. Provides context-sensitive help for each screen. Pressing the F1 key is a shortcut.

8) Contents and Index

  1. Lists help topics. Double-click a topic to see information on that topic.

9) About screen

  1. Displays your account number and information on how to contact us for technical support.
