Reinstall Instructions


1) Windows Start Menu

  1. If you uninstall PC Data Backups, you can reinstall if you are using the same account size and you have your account number. You should only reinstall if you are reinstalling on the same computer or if you are moving the account to a replacement computer.
  2. Click the Windows Start button, move to the Programs menu, move to the PC Data Backups menu, and click PC Data Backups (if necessary).

2) Welcome toRegistration

  1. Select "You previously registered an account and are re-installing that account."
  2. Click Next.

3) Re-Installing an Account

  1. Type in your 10-digit account number.
  2. Click Next.

4) Re-Activating Encryption

  1. Type in your Encryption Key.
  2. Click Next.

5) Account Password

  1. If you would like an additional password to protect your account, type it in now, and record it in a safe place.
  2. Click Next.

6) Connection Settings

  1. Select the type of firewall you have, if any.
  2. Provide IP addresses and TCP ports if necessary. For more information, click Help.
  3. Click Next.

7) Re-Establishing Your Account

  1. Click Finish.

  1. Click OK.
