ZoneAlarm Firewall Instructions


1) ZoneAlarm Firewall - Open

  1. You need to configure your ZoneLabs' ZoneAlarm software firewall to allow PC Data Backups permission to connect to the Internet.
  2. Changes to either may prevent cause your firewall to block PC Data Backups' attempt to connect.
  3. Open ZoneLabs' ZoneAlarm by clicking the system tray icon (like the image below) or Start > Programs > ZoneLabs > ZoneAlarm.

2) RDB Client Software

<li>Click the Program Control tab on the left.
<li>Find the "PC Data Backups Client Software (COBackup.exe)" and set Access - Trusted and Internet to green check marks.

3) Access - Trusted & Internet

  1. Find the "Agent Service Module (AgentSRV.exe)" and set Access - Trusted and Internet to green check marks.

4) ZoneAlarm Alert

  1. Test to make sure PC Data Backups will connect to the Internet.
  2. Right click our system tray icon, and select "Run a Backup Now".
  3. If you ever see this screen "Program Control" screen pop up regarding "AgentSRV" or "PC Data Backups", just select "Permit" and click OK.
