What switches are available to use with PC Data Backups?

Remote Data Backup Agent Operation Switches

You may use the following switches to operate the Backup Agent from a command prompt (or in the command line of a customized shortcut, a batch file, or in Task Manager).

To invoke the Backup Agent with a switch:
  1. Open a command line window.
  2. Navigate to the Agent installation directory (default is C:\program files\PC Data Backups\OLBackup.exe).
  3. Type the name of the Agent executable (COBackup.exe) followed by the necessary switch or switches and click Enter.
Switch Explanation

-B

Perform a backup now. This has the same effect as opening the Agent and clicking the Backup Now button on the Home screen.

-BA

This switch should be used along with the -A switch. It tells the Agent to transmit the FSF file created by an Asset Survey scan to the Data Center.

-BE

Do a backup and then exit the application.

-BE0

Do a backup and then log off from Windows.

-BE1

Do a backup and then shut down the machine.

-BE2

Do a backup and then reboot the machine.

Example: C:\PROGRA~1\REMOTE~1\COBackup.exe –be1 (*Where "C:" is your primary Hard Drive)
