Can PC Data Backups software remind me to back up before I turn my PC off?

Yes. If you like to turn your computer off at night, or if someone who uses your computer sometimes forgets to leave it on this may be for you. If you want to at be sure a backup runs before the computer is turned off, you can change the settings on your account. When you exit Windows you will get a reminder to backup.
  1. Open the PC Data Backups software.
  2. Click the "Options" menu (top left).
  3. Select "Backup Schedule…"
  4. Place a check in the box : "Prompt for backup each time Windows exits".
  5. Click "OK."
When you turn off your computer a dialog box will display: "After backup is finished, would you like to:"
  1. Select "shut down". (To turn off your computer*)
  2. Click "OK".
*If you would like to keep working after the backup is finished, select "Stay logged in". You can also choose to "Log off" or to have your computer "Shutdown and restart".

Log in & access your backed up files securely
