How do I recover my e-mail?

In order to retrieve your e-mail, your will have to have the same version of Outlook installed on your computer as you had when you were backing up your data.

Outlook needs to be the same version as before, and needs to be configured the same way that it was configured before.

If you are trying to recover a .pst file, you MUST restore it to an exact version of Microsoft Office (Outlook) as the one you used to back it up from. (I.E. you cannot recover an Outlook XP file directly to Outlook 2003.)

If you want to upgrade to a newer version of Outlook, restore your e-mail first, then upgrade Outlook. If you upgrade Outlook first you will not be able to recover your e-mail.
