How can I verfiy that my Microsoft Outlook has been setup correctly to work with PC Data Backups? You can verify that your Outlook is configured correctly by checking your MAPISVC.INF file. Search for this file on your local computer. The MAPISVC.INF file acts as the central database for MAPI message service configuration information. MAPISVC.INF contains information about each of the message services installed on the workstation. Email Optimizer for pst files requires Personal Folder Service to be configured. It could be verified by looking in MAPISVC.INF file (could be more than one in user’s machine). Under Services section there should be an MSPST MS entry [Services] MSEMS=Microsoft Exchange Server MSPST AB=Personal Address Book MSPST MS=Personal Folders File (.pst) CONTAB=Outlook Address Book EMABLT=Microsoft LDAP Directory INTERSTOR=Internet Folders O10ABP=Exchange Address Book And also verify that all the following are with in the section headed with: MSPST MS (All the following entries should be configured) [MSPST MS] PR_SERVICE_DLL_NAME=ms Providers=MSPST MSP pst.dll PR_SERVICE_INSTALL_ID={6485D262-C2AC-11D1-AD3E-10A0C911C9C0} PR_SERVICE_SUPPORT_FILES=mspst.dll PR_SERVICE_ENTRY_NAME=PSTServiceEntry PR_RESOURCE_FLAGS=SERVICE_NO_PRIMARY_IDENTITY |
