Back Up Flash Files Online

Macromedia Flash is a multimedia program. Flash files are used to create and manage interactive movies.

Tips for Locating Flash Files to Back Up or Restore
- To search your computer for these files:
- Click the Start button, move to Search or Find, click All Files and Folders, type the file name(s) or
extension(s) you want to search for, and click the Search button.
- You can also use the Search button within Windows Explorer.
- Click the View menu and click Details to see the folders where the files are located.
- To use Remote Data Backups to search for these files:
- Click the Backup View or
Retrieve View tab, click the Operations menu, click
Find, type the file name(s) or extension(s) you want to search for, and click
the Find Next button.
- Continue to click Find Next to find all matching files.
- To use Remote Data Backups to select files by extension:
- Click the Backup View tab, click the Options menu, move to
Advanced Backup Rules and click File Types.
- Select an extension of files to back up (*.fla, *.swf) and click the Include button.
- Repeat for each extension of files you want backed up.
- Click OK.
- User data is usually stored in a separate place from settings and preferences, and a computer with multiple
users has multiple folders for user data.
- Many programs store information within the Documents and Settings folder, but others store some or all information
in the Program Files folder.
- To see how much disk space a folder takes in Windows Explorer or My Computer, right-click the folder and click
Properties.
Back Up Flash Files Online

To back up Flash files offsite,
- To back up data files only, simply select the files or folders to back up using the Backup view. If your files are
deleted or damaged, simply select the files or folders to restore using the Restore tab in the Remote Data Backups software.
- If Flash has its own backup and recovery software utility and you are not using Easy
System Restore, we recommend you back up Flash to the hard drive using Flash's built-in backup software and then back
up the Flash backup using Remote Data Backups. To restore the data, reverse this process.
- To assure all program settings are backed up, we recommend that you back up the entire Windows system using the
10 MB, 20 MB or 30 MB online backup solution. If your files are deleted or damaged, simply
restore the Windows system using the Windows Easy System Restore tab in the Remote
Data Backups software.
